frontend.biography:

Stefan George Roşu is a Lecturer, PhD at the University “Politehnica” of Bucharest (UPB), Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology (ETTI), Department of Applied Electronics and Information Engineering (EAII).

During 2013-2016 he was a postdoctoral researcher at Politecnico di Torino, Energy Department, Turin, Italy, where he worked on various projects, including the development of dynamic wireless power transfer (DWPT) systems in the framework of the FABRIC European project. During this period he gained both theoretical and hands on experience in the area of DWPT systems, simulation and design of electronic power converters, prototype realization and testing using state of the art equipment and technologies. During his work at Politecnico di Torino he gained experience also in high complexity hardware demonstrator projects in the team responsible for the design of an 18-phase DC-AC converter, where he was in charge with the converter hardware design, implementation, testing and system architecture definition.

He was member in 4 research projects. In 2017 and 2018 he was project manager for a national research project, “Near-field Wireless Power Transfer for Networked Space Entities” where he developed a low power WPT system for sensors. His research focuses on power electronic converters, wireless power transfer systems, multiphase converters, motor drivers, sensors supply and embedded systems.

He has authored or coauthored over 23 papers published in international conference proceedings and technical journals, two of them in IEEE Trans. On Industry Applications. He is also a reviewer for several IEEE Transactions, IET and MDPI Journals.
