Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ing. Daniela FAUR
Dr. Daniela FAUR received her B.Sc. in Management in Electrical Engineering from UPB in 2002, followed by Ph.D in Electrical Engineering at UPB in 2006. Currently, she is Associate Professor within the Department of Applied Electronics and Information Engineering. She is involved in national and European research grants in the field of Earth observation data mining and knowledge based image understanding focused on applications for disaster and humanitarian crisis management. As a senior researcher within CEOSpaceTech, she has vast expertise as project manager/Principal investigator of European and national research projects SPACE ENDEVOUR (H2020), eVADE (ESA –ITT), VATEO (PNCDI 2 – national call) and LEOSITS (Romanian Space Agency call STAR). Her fields of interest are data visualization and visual data mining, satellite image time series processing and content based image retrieval. She leads the involvement of UPB- CEOSpaceTech in the development of the romanian Cluster for Earth observation applications and technologies.
